Andy’s Man Club has been operating in Wales for over 3 years, starting off in Porthcawl and opening a second location in Porth in the Rhondda Valley in October 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. With Mental Health sessions still running in adherence with government guidelines, we spoke to Kyle Howells, lead facilitator of Andy’s Man Club Rhondda on the impact Andy’s Man Club has had on his life and also the wider community in Rhondda.

“I attended my first AMC meeting in late 2019, although I made it through many traumatic experiences, challenges and gained the strength to keep moving forward. I still needed to get things off my chest.”

“At AMC I was able to do exactly that in a fully confidential and non-judgmental environment. After that first meeting I knew that my hometown would benefit from such a positive group with a powerful message.”

“In October 2020, AMC Rhondda opened and we’ve been helping guys every week to get things off their chest since then and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.”
